almost "Ready-to-Wear" - Unique and Fun

If you have been reading my blog for a while, I'm sure you have gathered that I love costumes, like to sew almost anything and want my own clothes to be one of a kind.

And somehow my Facebook profile must indicate that as well, because a week or so ago I got an ad on my page for, Ivey Abitz, which is a really different line of clothing.
Picture
The clothes are meant for everyday wear, but some people might call them costumes.
Picture
Each outfit in the "Look Book" is a layering of 3, 4 or 5 garments that are sewn up after you place your order, according to the size and fabric chosen.

They are manufactured in New York City and, no surprise, they are expensive!
Picture
They look great on these manikins. I wonder what they look like on real people? ...
Great, too, I suspect.
Picture
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the look of almost every outfit.
Picture
I wonder if I could make myself something in the same spirit??
Picture
Below are sketches of a few separate garments.  It would be impossible to get an idea of how to combine and layer them with out the "Look Book".

If you want to know more about these clothes, click on this link and it will take you to the page with sketches of the dresses. Each sketch takes you to a page with detailed information and pricing. Then you can search around the site.

FUN, FUN, FUN!

Love Ivy Abitz! What fun! The only problem I see is choosing just one outfit to begin with. Thanks for the link.

Hmmmm, the first three look sorta Steampunkish, but I do like them. Looking at the Ivy Abitz items is rather inspirational. I love layered clothing, plus you can mix and match so much! It sorta becomes a challenge to see just how many outfits and styles you can put together with the minimal amount of pieces and dress them up or down as well! Fun. The Goose
