What do they say? ... "the wife is the last to know"

Well, in this case it is the designer that is the last to know. I found out this morning by reading PatternReview.com that Simplicity just released the Spring patterns which includes my Amazing Fit Corset #1183 ... the second pattern of mine to make it into the fashion section of the catalog.

So far, I only have that tiny image of the pattern, but here are the photos I took before sending them to Simplicity.

I spent a long time on this pattern and have a lot to say about it.

BUT, I'm still not finished with the project that's due on Monday.

Which will probably end up being Tuesday, partially because of heavy snow predicted.  I don't like sending things off in bad weather.

You might notice that there is no white/pink corset on the envelope. Looks like they ended up color mapping this one red.  But, I think it would make part of a lovely bride dress in this color.

So, I will start the saga of these corsets next week.

Good point, but I don't have time right now. And, I'm not completely organized, but getting closer.

i have , over the last five years, eliminated at least fifty percent of the stuff i was able to pack into this house, and I still don't seem to have any spare space!! I'll have to keep working at it. I remember vividly, the day we came together in Boise to move mom to the assisted living place. And how easily we just thru away so many of her possessions. So many things that she wouldn't have room for, and we just tossed the stuff into the garbage Shute. She was only dimly aware that we were cleaning out and packing her things at the same time. When I got home, I had time to reflect on the way we did that, and I just sat down and cried. Years of her little holiday decorations, and her old worn out shoes, and all the cookie tins that she'd collected over the years, and we just tossed them. Into the garbage. I don't want my kids to have to do that for me, so I am beginning to de clutter. It's hard to erase yourself... Even a little. 😔Lynn

I loved this pattern! (I accidentally commented on the wrong post just now -- this is actually the one I used!) I used this one for the inner structure of my wedding dress, made with a double layer of net, a twill tape waistline stay, underwires, no busk, and bra hooks down the back. It was fabulous!
