We all know that photos are "fixed up".  But the video below still took my breath away.

And really what are we suppose to believe anymore with the advent of Photoshop!
And look what can be done to fix up this young lady ...

We should all give ourselves a break and if we have daughters, be sure they don't believe the fashion photos they see.  I remember once telling my then teen age boys not to expect real women to look like the ones in the Victoria's Secret catalog.

And women aren't the only ones to get this treatment.

I always think George Clooney looks good, before or after.

And, just to be honest and up front, my husband fixed a few things on the photo I use on the home page of this website.  Can you tell??

So, we all like to look at a prettier picture, but ... hmmm, I guess we should all know not believe everything we see!

And this just in ... Marilyn wrote in with a comment suggesting this youtube clip on the same subject.

It's REALLY good ... enjoy.

I have loved this "commercial" since the first time I saw it on YouTube, it fits the theme of your post perfectly.

This reminds me of a friend of mine who just published her first book, and asked her Facebook friends for help in picking the author's photo to be used on the book jacket. She debated whether to get her "wrinkles" air-brushed out but I suggested she may want to consider how a book-signing might go .... "wow, you look MUCH younger on your book cover!" ... "gee, I didn't think you were so old!" ... and she decided to go with her "real" look --- which was just fine, because she's absolutely gorgeous!
