Choker for Edwardian Dresses

I created a choker out of lace and pearl trims to be worn with the new Edwardian Dress Pattern.  And there are free instructions on how to make it on the Simplicity website.

The sad thing is, I believe it was photographed on the model when she was wearing the beige dress that got cut.

RATS

But, it's still a nice thing you can make that would look great with the pink dress, which is a 1913-14 style.  The green dress is more 1919-20 and I don't the later teen's style suits that kind of jewelry as well.

You can see I have the choker on my dress form with the beige dress.

Above are photographs I took while making the choker.

Update 3/15/17
The full tutorial used to be on the Simplicity website, but now is here! Just on a different blog post.

This link will take you there.

Next blog on this pattern I will show how I sewed these dresses. And after that I will show you how to adapt the pattern pieces in the envelope to make the beige dress.

I like the beige one too. :-( I wish the had of featured all three. I guess they had to choose. The choker looks beautiful. :-)

Very pretty and very clever. Too bad that pretty beige dress was cut because people won't know to look for the free choker instructions. Except for us, your blog followers.

No, a link to the choker instructions is on the webpage for the pattern on the Simplicity site.

I couldn't find the tutorial following the link or on the site. Is it possible for you to put it up here?

DARN! So much stuff was lost when Simplicity moved to their new, but unfortunately not better website. I sure hope I can find the tutorial on my computer. If I do, I will update this blog to include the choker tutorial.

sorry.

That's a shame. Even so, thank you.

I found everything I needed and have reposted the tutorial on a new blog, dated 3/15/17. A link in the blog above will take you straight to it.
