Well, I can now tell you I've been in Southeast Asia for the last three weeks and am working my way home right now and I will be writing this blog as I progress through 3 airports. I am in the Singapore at this moment.
My husband had business in Singapore and I couldn't let him go without ME.
This has been a fabric centered trip. I have been to Bali, Singapore, the temples of Cambodia and Bangkok. In each place I have found and purchased wonderful fabrics for gifts and for myself. In Bali and Cambodia I toured an Ikat factory and silk farm.
Next installment ... In Japan.
I have an hour to sit in the Tokyo international airport. I would love to actually see Japan someday. But this trip it is just a stopover.
They have a small shop with over priced old kimonos. Something to kill the time before boarding the plane.
So ... Over the next month I will have fabrics to share and stories to tell. And then over the next year or so I will turn my fabric finds into new wardrobe pieces for myself and gifts.
This has been a great, fabulous, terrific, interesting and fun trip. But I'm so ready for my own bed, my own coffee and my own favorite chair to read in.
