Nifty Machines!

I have two reactions seeing these amazing industrial machines.

First, of course, is WOW! I didn't even know machines could DO that!

Then, no WONDER it's so hard to make a tailored shirt at home.

and then actually a third reaction which is WHY BOTHER??

Then, OF COURSE BOTHER! It is very satisfying to do, I can make shirts out all sorts of unusual fabrics and everyone is so happy to receive a custom made shirt.

But, is still is really fun to see some of these machines in action ....
Incredible ... so THAT'S how you can buy a shirt for so cheap.

I still am going to make shirt. There is a new man's shirt pattern I just found out about and think I will try for Christmas ... more on that later. But, the thing that brought my attention to these industrial shirt machines was a link to a video for this machine that, I think, will available for home use.  Look what it can do!

Wow, Those machines are fantastic- and strangely relaxing to watch! Thank you for posting, the videos were very interesting.

I've noticed that the newer shirts that are coming to me for alteration of one kind or another, also now have glued seams, which makes some of the things that used to be routine, nearly impossible.

Wow, that was very interesting. I do hope you will share your thoughts on the men's shirt pattern, after you try it.

HI, I am interested in an industrial type sewing machine so I was disappointed that your link to the machine that might be available for home use did not come through.

Have you noticed that nearly all men's shirts are constructed exactly the same? This is the result of all shirt manufacturers using the same automated machine and set ups.
