Here is a very beautiful project I was given last year. Cover up tops for brides with two little bird cage veil hats.  These require some delicate sewing and not too hard millinery work, but very doable.

I will be writing several blogs about sewing the hats. They are fun and not too hard.

And, you can see, we did the same pieces made up in non-bridal fabrics, because they work so well like this, too!

"A" is very very pretty and really different as a cover up.

Ate these two patterns the same but just made in different fabrics?

We have a rule at work that women's (and men's I guess) shoulders must be covered. I can see myself making at least one if not more of B as an officewear coverup; perhaps in a mesh as well as a lace.

Was this difficult! I want a cover up like A but cant afford the prices most people ask (and they're totally fair prices, I am just very poor lmao)
I was thinking of DIYing it but I'm not a great seamstress

The fabric you choose makes a big difference on how difficult it is to make. Actually View B is the easiest of them all. But, if you want to make A choose a lace that is heavier, like the lace used for B. And make sure you have someone to fit you.

good luck, Andrea
