Tudor dress and underpinnings discontinued!

3/11/2014

Blogging light this morning ... I woke up with an amazingly nasty virus. But, I was planning on sending this soon anyway.

It goes with the week's theme, too.  Most people feel that the first proper, separate corsets were developed during this Tudor time period.  I hope to have more explaining on that tomorrow.

So, the big news is that these two patterns have been discontinued and are now for sale in the Out Of Print section on Simplicity's website.  Click on the images to be taken to the page where you can buy them, if you want.

I have no idea if they will ever come back!

ouch. too bad, it was one of those patterns that worked up quickly and easily and still looked pretty good....
some of the other ones out there might look better when done very well, but required a lot of fuss and bother or they looked awful.
This one was a staple of the ren fair circuit and theater because it was fast and still a good looking dress.

i may (cough) already own all the sizes .... in duplicates... but i will go haunt my local stores for the remainder while they are still there
