I am told this pattern is coming out on Tuesday the 8th!  Now, we all know it can come out in the stores before being available on line or visa versa. But you should be able to buy it very, very soon.

Which means I will be writing about it all next week.

The fabric I used for the copper top is really interesting. It is actually a really, really thin (paper thin) layer of real leather (they say) on top of a knit backing. Nice stuff. A little weird. I hope it is still available. I will try to track it down.  I made these about 5 or 6 months ago.

Anyway ... more later.

It's called 'fused leather', and it is the stuff of dreams and miracles. Fabric.com sells it, in a bunch of colors.

And I suppose it's coincidence that the outfit on the right looks a LOT like the outfit Rey is wearing in the Star Wars 7 Trailer? I love how Simplicity bend over backwards to NOT call them what they are 'Movie tribute costumes' but all of us Simplicity Costumers know the score! I love it when you post new patterns! I've been working hard on one of the Theresa LeQuay Steampunk patterns - I hope you're still doing your 'Readers creations' segment as I'd love to share my work - I'm so proud of it and I know TLQ is a guest writer on this blog.

Another round or two of reader's creations is a great idea. Right after New Year's would be good. I will post a request then.
And Theresa is my baby sister! So proud of her stuff.
